Editors' Note Skiing, skating, snowboarding, COVID testing—the 2022 Olympic Winter Games are in full swing in Beijing. We checked in with Brian McCloskey, chair of the Beijing 2022 Medical Expert Panel, to hear how efforts to keep athletes and other attendees COVID-free are progressing. An accompanying slideshow looks at the measures China is taking to sustain its "zero-COVID" policy during the Olympics. Then, we shift gears to the story of a boy from Nepal who suffered serious burns and his path to healing, illustrating the threat posed to low- and middle-income countries that suffer from high rates of burn injuries. Another set of authors shares data and details on traffic injuries among youth in Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean region. A fifth article urges Indonesia's President Joko Widodo, the 2022 Group of Twenty (G20) chair, to go beyond a pandemic-focused agenda and champion a planetary health approach to global health. This week's Culture Friday feature delves into the current Spotify controversy involving music giants Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, who, along with other big-name musicians and podcasters, took a stand against COVID-19 disinformation on the streaming service and pulled their music.
