Andrew Pekosz

Andrew Pekosz is a professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a virologist involved in research to understand how seasonal respiratory viruses transmit and cause disease in humans. He received his BS at Rutgers University, his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, and postdoctoral training at Northwestern University. In addition to his research interests, Pekosz is a frequent commentator on issues related to emerging infectious diseases, vaccines and pandemic preparedness.
