Cyril Bennouna

Cyril Bennouna is a Senior Research Consultant at the Center for Injury and Violence Prevention at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a Policy Advisor and Affiliated Scholar at the University of Denver’s Interdisciplinary Global Mental Health Innovation group and Center for Immigration Policy and Research. His research broadly focuses on health equity and the social determinants of health, especially among people affected by armed conflict, disaster, and international migration. Over the past decade, Cyril has conducted rigorous applied research on refugee and newcomer health, mental health stigma, health service access, and the health impacts of social identity-based discrimination and interpersonal violence. He has a PhD in Political Science from Brown University and a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University.
