Jonta Kamara

Jonta Kamara is a health system and health policy analyst on a mission to improve health service delivery and local manufacturing of medical supplies in Africa. She manages a blog discussing public health issues and events and sharing advice from her experiences. Kamara was appointed as a youth reviewer for the Second Lancet Commission for Adolescent Health and Wellbeing and has experience working in the academic, government, and private sectors. She holds a masters in public health from King's College London and an honors bachelor of art’s degree in health studies with a double minor in African studies and immunology with distinction from New College at the University of Toronto. Kamara is the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Recent Alumni Award by the University of Toronto African Alumni Association and she is Miss Oakville United World 2024.
