Monica Kidd

Monica Kidd is a writer and family physician in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She has written seven books of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, and was an award-winning staff reporter for CBC Radio before going to medical school in 2004. She has research interests in evolutionary medicine, and maternal and child health. She occasionally works in Antarctica as an expedition guide, lecturing on the natural and cultural history of the extreme south. She is an avid bread baker.
