Fortunato D’Ancona

Dr. Fortunato D’Ancona is an epidemiologist in the field of communicable diseases with more than 25 years of experience at the Italian National Public Health Institute (ISS). Member of the Italian National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG). He is one of the main drafters of the Italian national plan for the fight against antimicrobial resistance. He is involved in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the field of infection prevention and control (IPC) and has coordinated the development of several national technical documents on IPC. Author of more than 140 scientific publications and technical reports.
