Maria Elena Tosti

Maria Elena Tosti is a statistician, epidemiologist, and senior researcher at the Italian National Centre for Global Health of the National Institute of Health. Her main fields of expertise are infectious diseases surveillance systems; in particular, she is responsible for an enhanced surveillance system of acute viral hepatitis in place since 1985. She is experienced in training on epidemiology and evidence-based medicine and guidelines production, and in organizing and conducting epidemiological studies in the clinical and public health area.
